So while I absolutely am a gamer, and once upon a time tried my hand at being a streamer, I never really made it out of the gate. I did however have a regular day job as a remote software developer, which post-COVID now spends a lot of my time in various meetings throughout the work day. One of the most frustrating things when being a multi-tasker is being on mute in the meeting, and having something to say and having to track down where the heck the tab was that the meeting is in...
Enter the ElGato Stream Deck, which I had on-hand from my streamer days. Pair that with this exceptionally cool plugin that now allows me to create a "quick-button" pad for lots of Google Meet functions, like turning your mic on and off, camera on and off, hand raising and lots of reactions, all fully customizable.

As a result of this, the Stream Deck has made itself an invaluable tool in my professional arsenal. Combine that with a El Gato Key Light (and I begin to sound like a shill, but I assure you I am not) and you have a great WFH setup!
